At the National Catholic Youth Conference there is a place for parents, and what a wonderful place it is turning out to be!
In each breakout round, two sessions will target the needs and concerns of Catholic parents today, one session will be a Mega Session (large) and the other a hands-on workshop (small). Parent sessions will feature such nationally recognized presenters as Doug Brummel, Mark Hart, Tom East, Dobie Moser, and Roy Petifils around topics like:
Awaiting you is a specially created Parent Resource Area where you can spend time networking with other parents over a cup of fair trade coffee as you check out helpful parent resources and take time to reflect on the meaning and messages that NCYC has for you, your family and your faith. And you will not believe Victory Park until you step inside the NCYC thematic park comprising hundreds of exhibitors from across the U.S., dozens of creative and interactive areas to help participants further explore their faith, plus a coffeehouse, games, give-a-ways, and much more.
One thing you will not hear at NCYC is “Mass is boring!” With some of the best Catholic artists, performers, and musicians available combined with bishops, priests, and seminarians from across the country in attendance, there will be a variety of dynamic, prayerful, and rich worship opportunities daily including eucharistic liturgies, reconciliation, adoration, and a prayer area that offers many venues for participants to go deep to meet their spiritual needs.
It is hard to imagine wanting to be in a stadium with 20,000 youth and adult chaperones cheering and praying out loud their shared faith, but once you experience it first hand, you will find it impossible to not want more! What better way to grow in faith as a family than to share this once-in-a-lifetime experience with your own son or daughter?
Even if you cannot attend NCYC in person, you can participate online through the live virtual feed of all NCYC General Sessions plus the large Parent Mega Sessions in real time during the conference. See the live streaming now!
